Sumac offers a sharp citrus combined with spicy earthiness, common to dishes across the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
Sprinkle sumac over chicken and vegetables. It also adds depth to any dish with lemon zest or juice as an ingredient, or can be a substitute for lemon juice when you don’t want to add more liquid to your dish.
Remember to use sumac later in the cooking process. Like we mentioned earlier, it is a great final touch when sprinkled as a garnish.
