The unmistakable flavour of dill. It has earned a place in the heart of Canadians thanks in large part to homemade tartar sauce recipes and dill pickle chips. But dill has far more applications and is a staple of pantries around the world.
Try using dill in salad dressings and dips, with potatoes and eggs, or on fish and seafood dishes.
It is much milder than dill seed, and can have different applications and properties when cooking. Be mindful of the difference.
A word of warning: fresh dill is typically better than dried but, if you store it properly and use it isn’t too old, dried dill weed can be great to have on hand when fresh isn’t an option.
